1. Differentiate citizen journalism and community journalism in only 6-10 sentences.


Community journalism is a heavier task than citizen journalism. Community journalism talks about helping people to be continuously informed and updated about issues and problems that the community is involved in while citizen journalism is just there to publish information that came from secondary sources that they gathered. Community journalism talks about everything that's happening that might concern every person who lives in one community while on the other hand citizen journalism may inform individuals who are only affected by the issues. Community journalism can help people to voice-out their problems and suggest possible solutions. Citizen journalism addresses the problems and just lets people know. To my understanding Citizen and Community Journalism has a big difference that's why for me the two should always be discuss for people to know which one came from a professional and have the background on what they do and what the right procedure is, just to make sure that the audience or reader can access an information that is detailed and updated every now and then.



2. Choose a unique local issue which you think can be resolved by community journalism and why? explain in 6-10 sentences.  


Election knows, I really believe that if people know about something they can make a good decision. Community journalism can be an instrument to that ‘election knows’. They will be the one who will gather datas about every  person who wants to lead the community. They have the ability to give factual information if the person they want to vote for has the credentials that will make a good change to the community. Their works can be the basis of citizens on appointing leaders. Community journalism has the power to enlighten someone about the things that they don't know about or things that they believe as truth. Community journalism is a big part of how people view things that will help them to have the change and beauty that every community wants, dreams, and deserves.

In Barangay Malis

It was sultry that day. Sweat and grime clung stubbornly to the skin. There was the din of traffic and jackhammers. The pungent scent of dust kicked up from the old roads they were drilling, and the smoke from the noxious exhaust of old cars penetrated deep into the lungs. Heat and dryness were in the air, but the land told a different story.
