Everyone is available to provide news now that modern times have arrived but most of the time people fall for what is fake news. Citizen journalism, anyone with internet access and rudimentary communication devices like smartphones can engage by taking or capturing photos or video of newsworthy events on the spur of the moment. They disseminate information without conducting sufficient research to verify its veracity. For them, the transmission of the news matters more than its accuracy. While a community journalism are generally carried out by professional journalists with high professional standards who work for reputable media organizations. Additionally, they carry out research and interview people regarding a particular news story that is relevant and important for the community. To put it briefly, they vary in terms of their approaches, procedures, and accountability.

There is always news waiting for you wherever you go, but you never know who to trust or what to believe. 



Choose a unique local issue that you think can be addressed/resolved through community journalism and explain why, in your own words in 6 to 10 sentences. 

Aside from the primary issues with trash, I noticed that there are lacked of medical places or public clinics in the area or place I live, Pandi, Bulacan. We still have to transport patients to other location because there isn't a hospital in our area. I think this is one of the hundred problems that a community journalism can approach ought to be able to handle particularly given the current state of affairs where the illness is becoming more widespread. Because of increasing population, the treatment provided in each barangays is insufficient especially since its not frequently implemented. It can be handled by a community journalism by first surveying the entire area, writing a report about the specific problem and serves as the voice and will speak for those who are sick regardless of age, and who require care and assistance. The fact that our mayor prioritized building a Jollibee over the construction of a public hospital for the locals.
