Citizen journalism, anyone with internet access and rudimentary communication devices like smartphones can engage by taking or capturing photos or video of newsworthy events on the spur of the moment. They disseminate information without conducting sufficient research to verify its veracity. For them, the transmission of the news matters more than its accuracy. While a community journalism are generally carried out by professional journalists with high professional standards who work for reputable media organizations. Additionally, they carry out research and interview people regarding a particular news story that is relevant and important for the community. To put it briefly, they vary in terms of their approaches, procedures, and accountability.
