Only in PPOP: BINI Maloi goes viral after giving transport fare to a fan


 “In an original X/Twitter video from @mikaapink, a bloom or a fan of the girl group BINI uploaded a viral video featuring his hilarious interaction with Maloi, the main vocalist of the group and labeled by the fans as the “nation’s girlfriend”.

In the viral video, that was recorded in August 2023 at the 2023 Malaya Music Fest, the fan asked BINI Maloi, ‘Pwede po ba makahingi ng pamasahe?’ And Maloi handed him a thousand pesos with a caring message, ‘Mag-ingat ka.’” The interaction gain engagements on twitter and the clip was quickly circulated all over the internet and sparked the curiosity of the general public about the group.

The clip is just a short testimony of how relatable and humorous the group is. The  other 7 members of the group also had viral moments of their own, but their humorous and relatable personalities are not the only reasons why they are going viral. Their talents are also a huge reason why they are slowly getting recognized by the Filipino general public.

Alongside Maloi’s virality, their song ‘Pantropiko’ also went viral on TikTok, with more than four hundred thousand videos participating in the ‘Pantropiko Dance Challenge.’ Recently, the group released their first-ever EP, ‘Talaarawan,’ and received positive feedback from fans and casual listeners. They have also achieved 1.7 million listeners on Spotify and currently the most streamed PPop group.
