Posted on January 30, 2024, X (formerly Twitter) user @badmaloi went viral because of a thesis, which garnered more than 37,000 likes. However, this particular thesis is not for academic purposes. It turns out it was a gift from her girlfriend for their first year anniversary!


Beatrize (X user badmaloi) and her girlfriend, Cristine were celebrating their first anniversary as a couple. As the fruit of their one-year journey, the thesis manifested their love for each other.


The thesis consists of its usual contents. Beatrize even shared a picture of a chapter from the thesis, the review of related literature, which contains existing studies and researches about same-sex relationships.

Beatrize said that being grateful and shocked was an understatement of what she felt when she received the gift from her girlfriend.


“Hindi ko lang talaga inexpect na bibigyan niya ako ng thesis about me and how our relationship went for a year. Detail by detail, nilagay niya. It's like a guidebook to get to know about me and us.” stated by Beatrize. 


The post also gained many reactions from the netizens. Many users thought that the gift was cute and were amazed with this, even hoping that this action could happen to them someday.

According to Beatrize, she did expect that the post would gain attention, but only on bloomtwt, a community of X users that are fans of the P-Pop girl group, BINI. What she did not expect is that her post will get out of her community and gained attention of the local users.


“So, yes, I expected it to gain attention in my circle [bloomtwt], but not to the point na 30k users would like it.” said Beatrize.

It was sultry that day. Sweat and grime clung stubbornly to the skin. There was the din of traffic and jackhammers. The pungent scent of dust kicked up from the old roads they were drilling, and the smoke from the noxious exhaust of old cars penetrated deep into the lungs.
